Psychoanalysis promotes the use of insight in solving inner conflicts or removing irrational thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and feelings. More specifically, Freud believed that by understanding and making the unconscious known, one would have an easier time dealing with disorders such as depression, anxiety and many more.
